The Conference Team is committed to featuring first-class entertainment, with an authentic Aussie twist, as an essential part of the WAHO 2019 Conference Australia experience.

Carol Heuchan | Bush Poet

Local Australian celebrity Carol Heuchan, a resident of the nearby Hunter Valley, has very generously agreed to share her unique approach to storytelling with WAHO 2019 Conference guests. Award-winning Bush Poet extraordinaire,  Carol will enchant guests on Tuesday evening the 5th of February during the Welcome BBQ. Carol will also serve as the principal commentator for the Australian Arabian Ambassadors Presentation on Saturday the 2nd of February during the East Coast Championships. We look forward to sharing Carol and her immense authentically Aussie talent with all of our international guests. We can assure you that you are in for an unforgettable treat!

Carol is responsible for Drinker of the Wind, an original poem commissioned by the Arabian Horse Society in 2016. This moving tribute to our noble breed is used to open the Australian Arabian National Championships on the Finals Evenings each year, to remind us all of the incalculable contribution of the Arabian horse to our success as a civilization across the millennia.

Australian Animals Experience | Australian Reptile Park

Despite the rather intimidating name, the Australian Reptile Park is a marquee attraction of the Central Coast, and one of the most highly regarded and frequently visited wildlife experiences in Australasia. An award-winning, hands-on zoological park, the Australian Reptile Park (ARP), founded by Australia's first naturalist Eric Worrell, has been in continuous & expansive operation for over 70 years. Home to so much more than reptiles, the Australian Reptile Park is proud to feature hands-on educational experiences with Australia's astoundingly unique mammals, birds, amphibians & arachnids.

Australian Geographic Australian Conservationist of the Year 2015 Tim Faulkner, ARP General Manager & Head of Conservation at the ARP as well as the The Devil Ark, an essential conservation effort dedicated to rescuing the iconic Tasmanian Devil from extinction, leads a highly talented & committed team of animal experts & conservationists. His highly popular Tim's TV airs on both the Nine Network and on Foxtel’s National Geographic channel in Australia, while also broadcast around the world in 150 countries, boasting a global audience of 180 million viewers. Tim continues to advocate for Australia on the world stage, while dedicating his professional life to ensuring a better & brighter future for the continent's amazing fauna.

The Australian Reptile Park will be onsite at the WAHO 2019 Conference with their highly popular 'Reptiles on the Road' showcase. International guests will have the opportunity to get 'up close and personal' with koalas, kangaroos, wallabies & wombats, with a few surprises planned, during the Welcome BBQ on Tuesday evening the 5th of February.  We are delighted to feature Tim & his talented Team from Australia Reptile Park at the WAHO 2019 Conference, and look forward to providing a quintessential Aussie wildlife encounter for everyone in attendance.

A special thank you to the official WAHO 2019 Conference Australia partners, patrons & sponsors
